Dan Snaith of Caribou has returned with another eclectic dance record off his Daphni alias. Fresh off the debut of a new record on BBC Radio 1, the Daphni alter ego is continuing his string of releases with "Vikram." Snaith offers a decidedly simple production, but the percussion is on-point, driving, and lays the foundation under a soothing, summer-ready yet surreal melody. Fusing a vintage soundscape with beeps and bloops that sound like they're out of The Legend of Zelda, Daphni's latest number sets the mood in far more situations than just the dance floor.
