House music production duo Disclosure are still getting credit for surprising fans with two new singles, the club-ready "Bang That" and the radio-ready "Holding On" featuring Gregory Porter. The Grammy-winning jazz vocalist's presence guides the track through retro nu disco infectiousness, and now is the track you can download instantly with the preorder of their sophomore album Caracal, due out September 25th of this year via Capitol Records. Right now, we can tell it will include "Holding On," and tracks called "Jaded," "Omen" and "Hourglass," along with 11 other unrevealed songs.
Shot in Mexico City, the video for "Holding On" juxtaposes the darkness of a military state, gang violence and familial obligations against day to day personal freedoms and letting go, and is the first of a mini-series of videos of this kind that the duo will release.
