Michael Calfan preps to release "Mercy" [Premiere]

It's been a long journey for Michael Calfan since "Resurrection." The career-defining single seems light years away from its 2013 release for the French producer, especially in the way that his style has matured. He's now a name in the "electro soul" game, a sound that can be associated with artists like Avicii who are working to give the house music that the world has fallen in love with a new spin based on musical genres that are quintessentially American.

Calfan's latest, "Mercy," does something similar to his previous single, "Treasured Soul." This time, he's mixed blues harmonica with a simple progressive piano riff, and the outcome is what he hopes to be his biggest hit of the summer. The single is out Monday June 29th via Spinnin' Records, but until then, stream it below.
