So what exactly is "dance pop" you ask? Well, in this case, it's a blend of pop, hip-hop and club beats with synths that reminded me of the Vegas LP by The Crystal Method. It was that feeling of hurtling headfirst into a wild experience with an intense bass line as the driving force.
NYC based artist Billy Richards hit the nail on the head with this new number "Love Is Blind," set to be a breakout in the New York dance scene, backed up by local Brooklyn producer Killa Theory AKA Kyle Turner. This one is what we'd call the ultimate summer track and when I listened I almost felt as though I were in a modern roller disco, spinning around to the hippest track of the summer.
