IWorld-renowned producer Steve Angello has been teasing a lot of new music lately, mostly through teasers in his live sets and artwork from the long-awaited, highly anticipated release of his debut solo LP, Wild Youth. While we await the updated release date of the album that's become what we can assume is a project under a microscope of perfection, we've gotten a new, surprising appearance from the Swede today.
It wasn't so long ago that dance music contemporaries, Above & Beyond, proclaimed their love and respect for electronic music veteran Jean-Michel Jarre, with their remix of "Zero Gravity" with Tangerine Dream. Now today another Jarre track has been remixed by a dance music pioneer of our own time, Angello himself. Chosen by Jarre himself to remix his new single "Glory," a collaboration with Anthony Gonzalez of M83, Steve has brought a style that we've really only seen from his more recent work. No longer can we just expect quick, thorough work in jungle or in house styling, but now with this release we're shown Angello's electronica preferences. Always a lover of rock-infused synths, he's kept a lower tempo and more powerful delivery for this one.
