Los Angeles based singer/producer Ash Riser is best known for his remarkable vocal contributions to Kendrick Lamar's highly acclaimed Section 80 LP back in 2011. In the time since, the 26 year old has been toiling away in the studio with his band The Cause in preparation of latest musical opus entitled the Modern Medicine EP. The six track EP showcases Ash's versatility as a songwriter, producer, and engineer capable of blending bits of hip-hop, soul, electronic, and rock in order to create unique soundscapes for his vocals to soar over.
He has recently released a video for one of the standout tracks on the project, "It's a Shame", which was directed by Nelson Moran. The visual features Ash hanging with a few friends at the local bar while entertaining a few femme fatales who eventually wander with him throughout the city.
