Maya Jane Coles is branching out into other dance genres, having just released her self-titled debut album as Nocturnal Sunshine. Now that she's taken over the house world with her debut album under her own name, 2013's Comfort, Coles has grown restless and turned toward dubby, garage-influenced rhythms as Nocturnal Sunshine. Somehow this batch of songs manages to be even more effective than her Comfort LP, the extra bass and fluid grooves making the experience all the more sultry. Sinister, seductive vocals are still a prominent element, like on the Chelou collaboration "Believe," which just received a shadowy music video. Check it out below. Nocturnal Sunshine is available now, and is still streaming over at Hype Machine.
