Following his chart-topping remix of Gregory Porter’s “Liquid Spirit,” Berlin house producer Claptone returns with a new single called “Dear Life.” The mysterious man with the golden mask teams up with French singer Jaw, who’s no stranger to working with Claptone. A few years ago, the two teamed up for the late night groove called “No Eyes.”
“Dear Life” carries on with Claptone’s signature shadowy and emotive style of house, but this track takes more of a vocally driven approach. Jaw’s soulful voice guides the listener over Claptone’s brooding melodies and sharp beats for something that will keep you moving as the end of the night approaches. I’m sure Claptone will be rocking this on while he’s on tour which starts this week and continues through summer.
