Briana Marela is the newest addition to the Jagjaguwar family and is already gearing up for her debut album on the label All Around Us, expected out August 21st. The young Washington state singer-songwriter has released the first single, "Surrender", from her upcoming project and it has definitely got our full attention. Marela has been busy at work recording the album in Iceland with the help of Sigur Rós, so we know that we can expect greatness from the whole album.

"Surrender" is the perfect appetizer to the mysterious main course of an album. The track highlights the elegant elements of Marela's vocals with an instrumentation to swoon over. It bears a lovely mix of pysch and indie vibes, but also offers up an introspective energy that Jagjaguwar has become notorious for having under their umbrella.
