Fans of Cut Copy were given a pleasant surprise when band member Ben Browning announced his new solo project with the debut of his single "Make It Easy." His single is a lively conglomerate of various genres that give homage to greats like Todd Terje, Lindstrøm, and a sunny sound that would make Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys proud. His lyrics are simple and playful as they delicately glide across a bed of catchy guitar riffs, driving four four drum patterns, and an electric array of synths. All of these sounds come together to make a sound that is perfect from drives along highway one, glaring out the window watching as the crashing tides passes and his sound broods over the laughs and words of your friends. This single was released in conjunction with the release of his forthcoming debut LP Turns, which is out later this summer. Get a dose of the easy life with this laid back sunny vibe.
