Richmond, Virginia rockers Avers, had a successful run at SXSW last month garnering lots of attention from the press. This six person ensemble, including drummer Tyler Williams of the Seattle based band The Head and the Heart, released their latest single "Vampire" this week. This psych-inspired tune will no doubt get stuck in your head after you give it a listen. The band describes "Vampire" as “some sort of spaceship dance party with all your best friends.”
Empty Light, Avers' debut album, was released last year; and they have been making a name for themselves ever since. Avers says they are planning on releasing another album by year's end. Be on the lookout for more music from this charismatic group. In the meantime, enjoy their latest musical offering.
