It's impossible to hate anything associated with Purity Ring. Besides sharing a hometown with them (Edmonton, stand up!) their recent collaborations with Ab Soul and Danny Brown, as well as the direction they went with their most recent release, Another Eternity, makes them a duo that shouldn't be skipped. And even though it's not the sound I usually find myself gravitating towards, I have to respect them for making some catchy tunes. If the name sounds familiar, it's probably because she's been killing it with her covers and original songs on Youtube. While her take on "Push Pull" doesn't deviate too much from the original, her efforts are enough to make the interpretation stand on its own legs. Also worth mentioning is the video that accompanies the song. While a pair of dancers perform in a field, we're treated to a number of cool shots of the singer doing her thing.
