Underground deep house connoisseur KAASI usually brings the good vibes, but on his remix of "Thieves" by The Beach, originally an acoustic power ballad, the producer outdoes himself creating a lush sonic world for listeners to inhabit that reflects the bittersweetness of The Beach's lyrics and vocals. The song is lowkey but definitely dance-able, and would seem to work perfectly as a party closer much like Tourist's "Your Girl" and Caribou's "I Can't Do Without You."
In the video accompanying the track's premiere, a man runs vigorously through diverse landscapes through mountains, on dams, in fields, on roads and alongside rivers to the steady patter of KAASI's production. It's basically a nature documentary with dance vibes so you're not going to want to miss it.
