The LA based quartet Mirror Talk is still relatively new but their sound is robust and rich in new wave pop sensibilities tinged with touches of R&B and 80’s synth pop. Their music is intoxicating, infectious and known to subject the listener to fits of sporadic dancing and jubilation. Each song is a carefully crafted number that is perfect for light night drives or bonfire beach parties. Their latest release “1/M/T” has an of aire of mystery about it as staccato guitar riffs pair with fluttering synth stabs and a four to floor drum pattern that will have you swaying back and forth like a flag in the wind. This single will appear on the band’s upcoming UP 1997, which will be released May 19th via Yellow Year Records.
