Steven Lee & Carl Kennedy reach the stratosphere with "Planes" remix

Steven Lee is one of those producers that has yet to receive the notoriety he deserves. His current status in the music in the industry is exactly what I love to see—hardworking, driven, and at the tipping point of tangible success. Don't get me wrong, the dude's won several Grammys for his work in the industry. Rather, I'm talking about self-proclaimed personal fame that will push his personal brand through the roof.

A collaboration with Carl Kennedy, the remix for Jeremih and J. Cole's "Planes" hits all the standard mellow house reverb growls while setting itself apart from complacency and trendy patterns. The quality of his sound is enough to make "Planes" feel and play like an original. All in all, Lee's remix reformats the original's hyper chill R&B style for the dancefloor without sacrificing its integrity as a truly moving tune.
