Sunset Graves is the project of Englishman Andy Fosberry who birthed the moniker back in 2013. Releasing a number of singles, EP's, two successful albums and even relocating from his self-built "The Graveyard" studio, he's now releasing his third full-length album on his own 3rd & Debut imprint. Where Variant focused heavily on post-rock, ambient electronic processes, From Your Ghost carried a thematic focal lens that capitalized on further electronic explorations. Now – as the title may suggest – Love Pours Into Death feels like a reconciliation of former stylistic differences that can live in harmony together.
The album runs 10 tracks deep and is incredibly intimate. Inspired by uneasiness and the dark truths in his observations of the outside world, Fosberry recreates moments of tension, mystique, and powerful emotion with his vocals, machinations, acoustic instruments, and creative blending. At times heavily layered and at others essentially stripped, the voyage in Love Pours Into Death feels like a romanticization of universal experiences.
