Shiba San exploded onto the US dance music scene when his sensational track “Okay” was included in DIRTYBIRD BBQ in 2014. Now, following his “I Can’t Remember” on the hugely successful DIRTYBIRD 10 last month, he is back with his Planet Floor EP, the first singles off of DIRTYBIRD this year. Known for his hip hop influences and fondness of dirtier sounds, Shiba San showcases both in true DIRTYBIRD fashion in this EP.
With “Planet Floor,” the title track, Shiba San sets the tone with a crisp percussion and a sliding groove set to a driving beat sure to make you move. Suggestive vocal cries and trippy melodies add to the mystique of the track. This is definitely one track to light up the dance floor.
“Show Me, Show Me” may just be now being released but it’s been making the rounds in DIRTYBIRD sets for a while now. Expect use of synth keys into a downright sleazy low end with crisp claps and hi-hats make this track dirty tech house perfection.
