A few months back, Kokiri hit his stride with the refined house tune "Retrospect". Weaving modded piano melodies through a chorus of vocals, a duet of sorts between a fine female voice and her pitched down counterpart, the UK artist had us looking back on all those bittersweet moments we shared with a special someone. "Retrospect" has already gone through treatment by Illyus & Barrientos and Koven, who respectively took the track towards tech house and drum and bass, but now A-Minor steps up to the remix plate, spinning a glossy rework under Ministry of Sound.
Much of the original's piano melodies have been replaced by a glimmering, brassy instrumental, though the dueling vocals continue throughout the song's course and keep the feeling of longing intact. With this remix, A-Minor encapsulates the sadness of "Retrospect" but infuses it with his own dapper sense of style, a fitting remake for a track that has garnered attention from the likes of Annie Mac, The Magician, and fans worldwide.
