With a shadowy electronic BANKS vibe and the soul of Jessie Ware, Rose is an example of opposing traits – strength and grace – merging to create a beguiling soundscape.
Having escaped a religious cult with her family, Rose’s internal struggle becomes a rebellion set to music in this eye-opening and emotional video. And whether purposeful or not, the imagery of dancing ocean-side, staring out a window, and crying in the shower are all very visually freeing demonstrations of feeling human, awake and alive.
