The city of London has always been a conveyer belt of talent when it comes to the rap game. The only struggle emcee's have coming from the UK is trying to break out across the pond in the USA. Accents and slang often get in the way of a rapper becoming successful across the Atlantic, but in recent years we've seen a change in attitude from listeners, with a lot more becoming accepting of UK rap music.
One of the main reasons, that I can think of at least, is the sound that a lot of UK rappers are coming with, their own take on the trap sound that's taken over the hip hop world. One such rapper to come hard on this kind of track is The Lost World's talented Tee Stone. The London native has previously had his work up on EARMILK, with the bangin' "Boom Bud", and this week he's back with a brand new joint that serves as a real smokers anthem. With a laid back instrumental featuring deep 808 kicks, and soft percussion hits set beneath some dreamy synth lines, Tee Stone goes to work with his bouncy flow sitting on the beat incredibly well. Fellow Londoner 30W, who also produced the track, passes through with a hot guest verse, adding his own flair to the joint.
