Fort Lauderdale-based quartet KIDS seem to be right on the cusp of breaking through. Presenting a developing sound through each of their songs, the January 27th release of their new full-length Rich Coast should come with many pleasant surprises. As they continue on their journey and are awaiting the release of the new album we have a cinematic video for their song "Second Star On The Right" to present.
"Second Star On The Right" finds the band living up to their name, mixing nostalgia with fantasy and resulting in a feel-good song and video. "What if we never left Neverland" a line that KIDS sing throughout the song acts as a focal point to the video and style to which the song builds off of. In keeping with the majestic feel, the song's hook-filled chant echoes throughout as a driven drum beat and wide-accompaniment of instrumentals provide momentum. As a whole, "Second Star On The Right" showcases many of the reasons that KIDS are a band to look out for and with an album due out in a few weeks be ready for this ensemble to pop.
