Detroit doesn't have to prove itself as a territory that has been birthing emcees for ages. Besides the obvious acts such as Eminem, Big Sean, and Danny Brown, Motor City arguably has on of the most unique situations within the game in 2014. While guys like Clear Soul Forces, Black Milk, and Elzhi, are still providing that fix for all of the lyrical fiends out there, I don't think it would be premature to throw MAHD in that mix. The aptly titled "Raw Sh*t" may clocks in at about two and a half minutes, but for the D Town native, it's enough time to school us on his world-class flow and rugged lyricism.

I think what I dig the most about "Raw Sh*t" is MAHD's approach the song. There are a ton of "Hip Hop vs. Rap" joints out there, but this one doesn't come with that preachy baggage that the others do. The guy doesn't take himself too seriously and manages to squeeze in a Martin jab, telling "fake rappers to go the Dragon Fly Jones way." Coupled with that beautiful production from Nolan the Ninja, it's a track that'll force every lyricist to step their game. There's no word of anything new from either artist, but stay tuned for more; we certainly can't call them out just yet.
