Lenno isn't like the other Finnish producers in the news right now. While his style may have begun in remixes and originals rooted in the futuristic marriage of nu disco to electro dance music, his next release is truly an artistic breakthrough. Led by the single "Wake Up" that we were treated to back in August, the four-track EP due out on December 8th via Casablanca Records bears the same name as its title song, with three additional nuggets of a different musical pairing. The newest chord that Lenno has struck lies somewhere between progressive dance and pop music, with tinges of summertime peaking out throughout.
Today we've got a first look at two of the tracks from the EP, entitled "Chase the Sun" and "No More. "Chase the Sun" returns to the slightly more electro sound we know Lenno does well, and "No More" rounds out the EP wonderfully with a glittering, straight progressive (without the "house) shot. What remains, though, is the brilliant vocals and attention to melody. So much, that listening to both tracks will put you in a great mood for the rest of this weekend.
