What a year it's been for British music huh? From the triumphant return to form from Grime legends such as Wiley & Skepta, to the emergence of some of the hottest talents to come from the British Isles in a good few years. One of those talents that's been shining in 2014 is London wordsmith Asante Hunter. Since we premiered his incredibly powerful video for "Show Me The War" back in May, the songwriter/producer extraordinaire has gone from strength to strength, releasing a couple of really strong singles, where he deals with some deep seated public issues including alcoholism. This alone sets him apart from the rest of the pack, with his lyricism especially hitting home as being more diverse than his peers.
Today we have the premiere of his brand new single "Conscious Mind", which see's Asante make another incredible leap in his short career. With a laid back, piano laced beat, that he produced himself, setting as a dope backdrop for Hunter to paint with his words. With an impeccable flow, and even more great lyricism, "Conscious Mind" see's him raise the bar yet again, capping off an already dope year.
