Rising London singer Shanaz Dorsett is a new force in the UK scene that is paving the way with her fresh take on soulful R&B styles. She has already received recognition from NPR’s All Songs Considered and support from the uber-hip Brooklyn based AFROPUNK festival. Her Mother Tongue EP is an eclectic take on R&B and soul and an indicator for the prosperous future ahead of her. Today we have the privilege of premiering a remix of “Don’t Let Me” from the eccentric dub producer Epoch. Take a trip down the rabbit hole with this haunting and eerie rendition off the title track of her EP. Down-tempo melodies and dank and dark atmospheric instrumentation help to tie together a trippy and entrancing vibe that will have you perplexed and intrigued all the same.
