Lapalux sets out to seek and destroy with "Make Money"

Stuart Howard, better known as UK producer Lapalux, is a member of Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder label, as well as UK label/blog Pictures Music. If you’re not familiar with his music, let me just tell you, he is some sort of alchemist at composing sonic labyrinths, entwinined with gripping textures. (Take a gander at “Movement, I, II, & III,” and “Guuurl,” off his Nostalchic album.)

Lapalux has been relatively quiet this year, so I was too ready when I saw his name pop up on my feed, accompanied by that snarling artwork. His latest effort, “Make Money,” comes from the Grand Theft Auto V soundtrack, for which he materializes a nefarious sound, very apropos to the game of committing heists. “Make Money” is an unexpected chockfull of glitchy screeches and bass that might provoke some disorderly conduct. I recommend playing this one out as you shift into your after-hours play.
