Clean Bandit bears it all with “Show Me Love”

In 1993, Robin S. sent shockwaves through the house world with the release of her anthem, “Show Me Love,” which quickly became one of the most well known house anthems in the United Kingdom. The track has continued to awe listeners through its many remixes and covers to date. This week, Clean Bandit, Comprised of brothers Jack and Luke Patterson alongside Grace Chatto and Neil Amin-Smith, has released their own cover of the track with Elizabeth Troy on vocals.

In a time where it seems that no one is producing dance music with diva-esque, powerful, female vocals, this cover hits all the right spots. Replacing the electronic synths of the original with strings gives this cover an extremely organic sound, and the strings meld seamlessly with the electronic bass line as Elizabeth Troy’s voice flies overhead with her strong vocals. This all combines to give the listener an incredible nostalgia feel of house music past, and is one track that should not be missed. Out November 24th on Warner Music UK.
