Dance legend Giorgio Moroder takes Joywave’s “Tongues” for another spin

Dance legend and synth disco pioneer Giorgio Moroder is doubling down on his comeback crusade with a remix of Joywave's "Tongues." Yesterday, Moroder released new single "74 Is the New 24," and announced a new solo album by the same name. Now, he's taking on the feel good single that had already received copious remix treatments by notable producers like RAC, Starsmith and Big Data.

Moroder's remix adds a hard-hitting beat and deep synth riffs to Joywave's infectious original. He leaves the song's general structure in place, full of chopped vocal samples and pop sensibilities, adding his dance flare to the beat. Essentially, he turns an upbeat pop hit into dance floor fire. We hope he keeps the trend going in the roll out for his new solo album, which is set to feature past pop legends Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue, as well as prolific singer-songwriters Charli XCX and Sia. We can't wait to hear what else he has in store.
