Harrison has been slowly but surely capturing our attention over here EARMILK with his production style, flip-flopping between groovy funk and video game influenced chiptune. This Toronto based producer has been flying under the radar for most of his career, but things are shaping up to change in the near future: he's been stepping up his public appearance around the Toronto area, as well as playing along the sides of other rising artists such as Sunclef, Saint Pepsi, and Ryan Hemsworth. His music video for the single "Akira" was scooped up by music channel giant Majestic Casual and even clocked in nearly 600,000 views.
His latest funkilicious throwdown, "What They Want", involves a plethora of filtered effects that serves us a nostalgic and retro feel that he is so wonderfully good at. It's that aspect of his game that is constantly bringing us back to him and wanting more. Right off the bat, the tune starts you into beat so groovy a disco ball might as well descend from the very ceiling you are under. Clean layers and simple effects makes "What They Want" a tune that can be played over and over.
