Birmingham-based producer Joey Mccrilley is on the up-and-up with the release of new single "Real for You" and his forthcoming Sweet Embrace EP.  Just in the past two years, Mccrilley has been spotlighted by dance tastemakers Eton Messy and Subsoul, and spun sets at the massive Global Gathering for DJMag.  Now, he's got the backing of Toyboy & Robin's Cool Kid Music label to unleash his memorable brand of garage sound on the world.

The first release off the EP, "Real for You," is destined to be a dance hit.  The song meshes a 2-step garage beat with female pop vocals, courtesy of promising chanteuse Alice D, in a Disclosure fashion.  A low-key beat backs the first verse, with an avalanche of sound coming at the chorus.  Synth riffs playfully run in and out, with laser noises ricocheting in the back while vocal samples flourish the chorus.  The sonics stay to play for a while before they drop out, showcasing Alice D's vocals on the second verse, before returning for a final bang in the last chorus.

"Real for You" is a banger destined to burn up the UK's flowering garage scene.  We're excited to see what Mccrilley and Toyboy & Robin have in store for the rest of the Sweet Embrace EP, due out next month.  Fans in Switzerland can catch a preview of the EP at Jágerhalle in Basel.
