In preparation for their “Inside Out” EP due out November 18th, Australian producer Chiefs and vocalist Nick Acquroff of Sons et al have released the title track single exclusively on EARMILK. Named a “Producer to Watch” on INTHEMIX and Pigeons & Planes after a #2 spot on the Hypemachine popular charts this summer there is clearly a lot of interest brewing about his future projects. Their last collaboration was “Stay,” with the accompanying music video released last year.
The "Inside Out" EP will also mark the launch of Vitalic Noise Records. The track plays out like a slice of a heartbreak song with low-pitched, silky vocals that bring the listener inwards. There is jazz here and Acquroff’s voice is almost from a different era, that soul tempered by Chief’s modern production that just pulls you in. The theme might be love based, but inside of it you get the sense that this is about so much more than a woman.
