About a year ago, the names Kaytranada, Mr. Carmack, and Sango were exponentially less common than they are now. When one of their tracks would go up, it wasn't as much of a land grab as it is now to be the writer behind the coverage. Now it's a mad dash to be the contributor dropping new Kaytra or Carmack, especially Soulection's own Sango.

The kid from Grand Rapids had a late-night release this past Sunday, "humbly" dubbed as "I1" or in other words "I Won". Sango explains the cultivation of this track, saying it includes samples from "Killa Cats" by Kaytranada and "Blackbirds" by Mr. Carmack. I'm not sure if the song choice is a statement here, but I do know the mesh of the three is a musical sundae I would never skimp out on.

Of course we receive the heavy hitting bass and unique percussion that's inevitable with Sango's drops, but this time it's crispier. That may be a vague description, but it's almost as if he's telling the online world of music that he's finally comfortable in his star-studded skin. The song is clean, uplifting, and a picture-perfect representation of revitalized hip-hop within the dance community.

Take a listen to "I1" below, and get ready for the next level of progression from these boys in 2015.
