Busy Living doesn't disappoint on "Let You Down"

LA based trio Busy Living released new track “Let You Down,” exclusively on Noisey last week and contrary to the title, it doesn’t. Produced by Jim Eno of Spoon fame it takes us back to a simpler time in the music industry, when Weezer and The Pixies reigned supreme. “Let You Down” explores the age-old conundrum of just not being that into someone. It’s tempting to consider someone when they are head over heels and in hot pursuit but you can’t always force yourself to feel the same, so they will ultimately be disappointed. And you know that right from the beginning, as sung in the chorus of the song, “I don’t wanna let you down, but I know it’s gonna happen.” The fused future dance, pop and rock elements create that more modern indie pop vibe, which compliments the track nicely.
