Italian house music regulars Phunk Investigation have teamed up with Swedish label No Definition on their latest for an international release. Cadillac Man's title track is a fresh take on mixing styles of all sorts of music to create a dance track, specifically in what the guys have sampled, and how they use it. Instead of going the route of sampling something from the 80's or 90's, they've created something that is, well, straight Mississippi Delta blues. With a harmonica helping to pick up the beat, the vocals that are reminiscent of a long lost Robert Johnson song are accented with bass and disco beats. The second track on the EP, "Midway" is another ode to American music, hearkening to female crooners like Ella Fitzgerald. Check both tracks out below.
