Veteran Australian producer Cassian has struck dance floor gold with his new single "Running," featuring relative newcomer Cleopold on vocals. Cleopold worked with down-under dance legends Bag Raiders on tracking. He previously appeared on Aussie indie pop outfit Miami Horror's "Colours in the Sky." The song is Cassian's first release on Sweat It Out! Music, which has signed notable Australian acts Rufus and What So Not in the past.
The song blends pop and deep house, traditional songwriting and international sound. The result is a hyper, more turnt version of Disclosure and Gorgon City's brand of dance pop. It's no surprise then that London sound engineer Stuart Hawkes, who has worked with Disclosure and AlunaGeorge among others, mastered the song. There is no doubt that this song is going to make a wave and strengthen Australia's already outsized influence on electronic and pop music.
