Over the past year, we've become well accustomed to Shaun Frank's peak-time, more big-room house oriented Club Covers and remixes/edits. He's been a stalwart in the Toronto dance music scene for a while now, and is known for his killer headlining sets at well-known clubs like The Hoxton. For that reason, we were excited when his team dropped us this remix of Kiesza's "Take Me To Church", a future meets deep house number that shows an impressive versatility in the studio for Mr. Frank.
Kiesza is an artist that's begging to be remixed. Her vocals are always on point, and can service a range of instrumentals, from pop to electronic. Frank delivers a grungy, bouncy underground remix to one of her latest hits that would fit perfectly early in a headlining set. That hi-hat shuffle is addicting, and Shaun perfectly programs his breakdown as it leads back into an engrossing second drop. Great work from Shaun branching out in his production, and we're waiting to see what direction he takes up next. Check out the track below!
