North London's Tau Benah has dropped his phenomenal debut single "Hey Hey", premiered by i-D magazine. Produced by fellow Londoner R-Kay, the mellow, groovy instrumental sets a wholesome, relaxed vibe; a perfect Sunday afternoon tune. "Hey Hey" is the first we've heard from the new Creative Elevation recruit and what a track to open with.
Tau Benah's "genre-bending" style radiates talent. He oozes timelessness, with a warming soulful tone which is paired with refreshing female vocals in the second half of the song; the vocal combination binds the song together. An entrancing electric guitar gives the track a blues perspective, creating further variation and distinction from current artists emerging in the UK hiphop scene.
