2014 has been a pretty good year for RAC. With multiple songs reaching mainstream status and a well-received album released early this spring, Portland-native André Allen Anjos (now the sole member of the band) continues to churn out hit after hit, working with a venerable who's who in indie, electronic, and rock music. Now, in a bit of role-reversal, his recent single "Tear You Down" receives the remix treatment from up-and-coming Viennese producer filous, and EARMILK has the exclusive premiere for you.
While filous's catalog is still fairly humble, the young producer is definitely onto something with his sultry, deep-housey remixes of established indie rock hits, such as his take on José González's cover of "Heartbeats." This RAC remix is no different, layering the vocals of Alex Ebert (of The Magnetic Zeros and IMA Robot fame) with orchestral synths, and a sexy, deep 4/4 rhythm.
