A member of the deep house's next generation of leaders, Justin Jay isn't all serious in his productions. Today he's released a free download that's meant to celebrate multiple occasions. The first is Halloween, and judging by the album art on this mix, Jay is pretty familiar with it. The second is the 10-year anniversary of dirtybird records, a label that's had a strong influence in his life and the formation of a truly American deep house community. Both moments led to his decision to remix a track that defined him 10 years ago: D4L's "Laffy Taffy." Let's be honest: the original had an affect on most of us, but we're older now, and in order to really appreciate the original, it helps to have some more mature bass mixed in.
