Toronto's Glenn Morrison is really a multi-talented artist: just look at his Soundcloud page. With a repertoire ranging from classical piano to house music, his released the rock-inspired pop track "Colourblind" earlier this year. With its down-tempo approach, the track was ripe for remixing – a great canvas for club music masters like Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano to work with and make their own. Known for their extremely upbeat tribal electro house, they've switched up their style on this remix, pulling back some of the intensity we've been hearing from them to get back to basics. We still get electro, and some tribal drums, helping SJRM's true style shine. Check out our exclusive first listen to the track below, as well as some insight from Glenn Morrison on the making of the track and its remixes:
I am delighted to have "Colourblind" as the single following the global success of "Goodbye." Great songwriting, great vocals by Andrew Cole and an overall euphoric positive feel make this a piece I am very proud of. The club remixes add a nice twist on the original as well and my close friends have all done their remix duties on it which I am grateful for. Over the course of 2015 we will be releasing my first artist album and more singles so stay tuned for my upcoming stuff and thank you all so much for the support so far, it means the world to me.
