New York City indie-pop group PARLOUR TRICKS is gearing up to dominate the music marathon that is known as CMJ Week with their eclectic and infectious tunes. In celebration of their two upcoming shows at CMJ week, the group has released a minimalistic yet vibrant and fun DIY video for their latest single “Lovesong.” In regards to the video, lead singer Lily states, “We didn't know a lot going into it. All we knew was that we wanted to be naked, body-painted, and singing. So that's what we did.”

“It morphed into this magical kind of alien karaoke thing; all these different colored/patterned creatures unified by singing the same song,” says Lily. Her vocals are a sexy blend of Karen O of The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s and Danielle Haim of Haim and the while embodying her own recognizable sound. The video is just a fun and quirky as the single is itself. If this single is any indicator to their live show, CMJ attendees are in for a colorful treat next week. They will be playing two shows, which you can see the dates below.
