Having a hit such as "Animals" that has permeated every facet of life would expectedly be hard to follow up for artist Martin Garrix. And though he's released some big festival tracks since, like many in the dance industry, he's begun to work in other areas of sound, led by the track he's released today. In collaboration with fellow radio-friendly electro producer MOTi, the guys have put together a pleasant, high energy dance track entitled "Virus (How About Now)."
I have to admit, this track isn't what I expected it to be. It's not blatantly in-your-face festival ready, nor is it the same for radio, but seems to be a test in the waters of a new style, and I like it. In the way he helped lead radio listeners adjust down the road of hardcore bleepy electro house, Garrix along with MOTi may be able to bring them back down to earth with this one. What do you think?
