Energy levels are at an all-time low on Tuesdays. I couldn't give you an exact reason why, but perhaps the amount of emotional distress experienced on Mondays is carried over. It's rough too because a ton of good music usually surfaces on Tuesday, and energy is needed to get the word out on these new tracks. Good thing my first one today is pumped with energy, coming to you from LA based producer Summer School.
His new track, "Nightly News", hits the blogosphere today with impeccable force. The speed and intensity of the track made me immediately think back to something similar to CHVRCHES, synths, bass, and keyboard in all. This is just a theory, but it seems like the joint gets its name "Nightly News" from the unmistakable ringing noises you would commonly find on a local news show intro. I dig that kind of reach in a sample.
The Los Angeles producer still lies beneath the radar, but his past few releases have dropped through Spinnin, Dim Mak, and even Ultra. Upon first hearing "Nightly News", I would have guessed S.S. is on a whole other level due to the amount of professional-perfectionism in his production.
Take a listen to "Nightly News" now, and enjoy the free download as a savory gift.
