Yesterday, Thursday October 2nd, 2014, I was sent a tune that comforted me. The type of feeling that happens rarely in the face of subpar demos and WIPs. Not to say every person that sends me tunes isn't talented, because it takes a very dedicated type of person to make music (I summon a quote from "Caskets" off the upcoming NehruvianDOOM album, check the 3' mark). Rather, sometimes they just don't "do it" for me.
Listen below to a tune that does, in fact, do exactly what I hoped it would do: make me comfortable. Chopped, screwed, and synthy to the point of white-washed tonal dementia, DJ Ayres bassy club remix of Locke's "Only Buggin" does it. Upbeat to a point, and downbeat to another, the remix hits a nice middle ground of jump up chillness that can amp your night or calm it down.
