Gengahr's new music video for "Powder" is unexpectedly jarring

Gengahr have really been hitting the scene recently. Having appeared at multiple summer festivals such as Glastonbury, Latitude, and Leeds, as well as acting as tour support for bands like Wolf Alice and San Fermin, the London rockers haven't stopped. Their debut effort "Powder", which is set to be officially released on October 27 via Transgressive Records, now has a music video, and it's not what you might expect.

Featuring the sonic smoothness of "Powder", the video (directed by The Marshall Darlings) depicts a rather linear narrative, one that strives to induce shivers down your spine for four minutes straight. It's an unusual visual adaptation to such a psych-oriented, guitar-driven pop song, but are we ever happy that someone's shaking it up a bit.
