Southern Californian producer William Weisenfield has been making some of the most distinctive electronic records to arise out of the LA music scene since 2010 under the alias Baths. Fresh off of the release of his excellent Ocean Death EP on Anticon Records back in May, Baths has decided to release a new single titled "Disorderly," that will be featured on a compilation EP Whats Good Los Angeles? being put out through Friend of Friends and Vans OTW.
The new track features Baths' trademark candid lyrical content over a smooth synth pop-ish instrumental, dropping such gems as "Forgot to thank you for your love/ Whatever you name was". It is a catchy but honest track that kind of reminds me of some of those indie pop bands that were popular back in the day (like the Postal Service), but still manages to sound uniquely Baths. This track will appear on the Whats Good Los Angeles EP alongside tracks by Problem, Salva, Hodgy Beats, Jerome LOL, and DâM Funk, and will be out on October 8th.
