Ro Ransom admits "You Know You're Right" on latest Hidden Freestyle [Premiere]

Ro Ransom impresses yet again, as he showcases once again his versatility as an artist as he tackles a genre on the other end of the spectrum of rap-grunge. Furthering his escapades through his 'Hidden Freestyles' series, Ro Ransom covers the last song Nirvana ever recorded, "You Know You're Right," for his latest installment in the series. It's befitting that the 21-year-old chose to cover this track for his 'Hidden Freestyles' installment seeing that this certain track was not released to the public until 2002; one could argue it was "hidden" from the public.

On his cover of "You Know You're Right," Ransom relies solely on his singing ability but channels an aspect of his vocal attribute previously unheard. Unlike his crooning and harmonic moans in past tracks, the Harlem-based rapper goes for a rugged and raw tone as he harnesses his inner 90's spirit. Compared to the original, Ransom's version of the track is much more laid back, yet it contains within it distorted power chords which pays homage to the style of the original track. Adam Falcon contributes backing vocals as well to the track and with the hidden theme in mind, both Falcon and Ransom recorded the track in a hidden location.

With "You Know You're Right," Ro Ransom proves once again how multifaceted he is as an artist. Moreover, the up-and-coming musician builds on the already present hype surrounding his upcoming project Ro Ransom is the Future with this new release. Stream "You Know You're Right" below.
