When UK dubstep pioneer Skream left the genre to explore house a few years back, some were upset, but he has certainly thrived since then. It now seems that he's busier than ever, his Soundcloud page alone a testament to his constant output of new tracks, remixes, and recorded live sets. Yesterday he dropped his latest track called "Let It Go."
The track is nearly 9 minutes, and while it's a suspenseful, grim affair, it's also filled with melodies that are deceptively beautiful. It's interesting to see the producer, born Oliver Jones, take a typically fun-filled genre and send it spiraling into the gloom so typical of the dubstep he helped innovate. A new track from Skream is always a treat regardless of the genre.
