Massolit, formerly recognized as PRFFTT & Svyable, have taken Oh Honey's "Be Okay" and given it a massive makeover befitting for the end of summer.
Oh Honey, consisting of Mitchy Collins and Danielle Bouchard, originally released "Be Okay" as part of an independently-released EP, With Love, in 2013. While the original is much more indie folk/pop derived, Massolit reaches into their production arsenal to deliver an infectious hit that boasts energy for days.
An aspect that continues to stand out in Massolit's production is their ever-present focus on elegant flow. Each new element has a definitive purpose and doesn't seem to be thrown in as filler. For example, by making full use of Collins' and Bouchard's vocals, Massolit allows the natural energy of the track to pulsate with each passing second, increasing in fervor until you're bursting at the edges.
Add in scintillating synths, impactful percussive notes, and graceful keyboard strokes, and you're left with a final result that will have you salivating as you eagerly await more of the sweet nectar that is "Be Okay". Check out this official remix below, and grab With Love via iTunes to end your summer on the right note.
