Not much is known about the enigmatic figure known as Hex Cougar, besides the tidbits of information provided through social media (personal interest includes hiding in shadows, running real fast, scaring children, and Mexican food). Although Hex is relatively new on the electronic music scene, he is already proving to be someone to keep an eye on judging by the handful of outstanding, genre-blending singles and remixes he has released through his label Shifty Rhythms the last year.
Hex's latest opus, titled "All Nyte", may be the producer's most technical and polished track yet. He continues to show a wide musical range, as the single transitions seamlessly from heavy, trap influenced bass drops into smooth downtempo R&B arrangements with general ease. The expert use of the Kelly Rowland vocal sample in the latter section is going to have listeners captivated for the rest of the summer.
